Terms of Use

These terms explain how you may use Codevra, what you can do with our code examples, and the responsibilities that come with using the site.

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms of use ("terms") govern your use of the Codevra website, including its lessons, exercises, quizzes, projects, cheat sheets, code playground and every other page ("the site"). The site is operated by Codevra ("Codevra", "we", "us" or "our"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who may use Codevra

Anyone may use Codevra for learning, teaching and personal or professional development. If you are under the age at which you can enter a binding agreement in your country, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, who accepts them on your behalf.

Using the site

You may read, run and practise with everything on the site for your own learning. Teachers and trainers may use Codevra in classes and workshops, and may link students to any page.

When you use the site, you agree not to:

  • attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its hosting;
  • copy or scrape the site in bulk, or mirror it on another website;
  • use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site;
  • use the code playground or share links to distribute malware, phishing pages, illegal content or content that harasses others;
  • remove or hide copyright notices, or present our content as your own;
  • use the site in any way that breaks the law.

Code examples

You may copy, change and use the code examples from our lessons, exercises and projects in your own work, including commercial projects, without asking permission. Attribution is welcome but not required. The examples are written for teaching, so review and test any code before relying on it in production.

Lesson content and the Codevra brand

The written lessons, explanations, exercises, quiz questions, illustrations, page design and the Codevra name and logo are owned by Codevra and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may:

  • link to any page on the site;
  • quote short passages with a clear link back to the original page;
  • print pages or cheat sheets for your own study or for a class you teach.

You may not republish whole lessons, collections of exercises or quizzes, or substantial parts of the site, in print or online, without our written permission. Please contact us if you would like to discuss reuse.

Names and logos of programming languages, frameworks and tools that appear on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the technology being taught. Their use does not imply endorsement.

Code you write

Code you write in lessons or in the code playground belongs to you. It is stored in your own browser unless you choose to create a share link. If you share a link, you are responsible for its contents and for making sure you have the right to share them.

Feedback and suggestions

If you send us feedback, corrections or ideas, you allow us to use them to improve Codevra without any obligation to you. We appreciate every suggestion and credit is never expected.

Accuracy and availability

We work hard to keep lessons accurate and up to date, but programming languages and tools change, and mistakes can happen. The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, without errors or suitable for a particular purpose. We may change, add or remove lessons and features at any time. Please read our disclaimer for more detail.

Third-party links and services

Some pages link to other websites, and some examples load content from public services. We don't control those sites or services and aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codevra will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, arising from your use of the site or from code or information found on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.

Privacy

How we handle information is explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy, which form part of these terms.

Suspending access

We may restrict or block access to the site for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the site, for example by attacking it or using it to distribute harmful content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you continue to use the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we still keep the right to enforce it later. These terms are the whole agreement between you and Codevra about your use of the site.
